A WORD FROM THE OWNER:

I approached this purchase with a very clear goal, to invest in something truly special. Through my self-managed super fund, I wanted a car that not only represented the peak of its era, but also had lasting appeal across generations. The R34 GT-R, and specifically the Millennium Jade V-Spec II Nür, stood above everything else.

Of all the JDM performance cars, I believe the Skyline GT-R sits in a tier of its own, and the V-Spec II Nür is unquestionably the ultimate factory version.

I came across this particular car advertised and it quite literally stopped me in my tracks. I didn’t think examples like this still existed. After several conversations with the owner and his wife, I flew from Sydney to Brisbane to inspect the car in person. We met at their preferred workshop, where I was able to go over the car thoroughly.

What stood out immediately, beyond the car itself, was the way it had been owned. They were meticulous, protective, and clearly deeply connected to it after more than a decade of ownership. It took time to build trust, but once I saw the car in person, it exceeded every expectation. The decision was instant. Finding an R34 GT-R is one thing, finding one like this is something else entirely. Most have been modified, altered, or lost their history along the way. To find a low kilometre, fully documented, completely original example, and in Millennium Jade, is exceptionally rare.

My approach to ownership has been simple: preserve, not change. The car has been maintained to the highest standard, with a focus on originality above all else. Since acquiring it in late 2018, I have driven it less than 30 kilometres.

To me, the value in this car is clear, it represents the highest specification R34 GT-R, in its most desirable colour, presented in exceptional, original condition. Today, it remains essentially unchanged from the day I purchased it. It is exactly as it left the factory, which is precisely the point.

MODEL HISTORY

The Skyline GT-R lineage represents one of the most significant performance car bloodlines in automotive history, evolving from the original Hakosuka GT-R of 1969 through successive generations that refined a consistent formula of turbocharged inline-six performance, advanced all-wheel drive, and motorsport-derived engineering.

By the time the R34 was introduced, Nissan had reached a peak balance between analogue engagement and electronic capability. The V-Spec II Nür, released in 2002 as a limited end-of-production variant, represents the final and most developed version of this platform. Combining the most advanced chassis configuration with the strengthened N1-derived RB26DETT engine, it was built as a send-off to the Skyline GT-R before the transition to the modern GT-R platform.

Finished in Millennium Jade, a colour exclusive to Nür production and produced in extremely limited numbers, the V-Spec II Nür is widely regarded as the most complete and collectible factory R34 GT-R.
