2013 Nissan GT-R R35 Very Low KM

The Nissan R35 GT-R signalled a step-change for the iconic nameplate. Gone was the Skyline badge, but gone was the meagre chassis too, with Nissan opting to move the GT-R badge to its own, dedicated, and well-deserved platform.

The project had bold ambitions but was heavily supported by the brand’s now-infamous CEO, Carlos Ghosn, who was later imprisoned in Japan then elaborately escaped in a musical instrument case.

Prior to that, the wild CEO had been immortalised in Japanese comics as Nissan's saviour, due to ensuring the R35 GT-R project received the resources needed to uphold its honour of being a ground-breaking and giant-toppling supercar.

The stakes were high however, given challengers from Europe had raised the performance bar each year in the six-year gap between R34 and R35 GT-R. After launching in 2008, it succeeded in widely opening the eyes of the competition.

Foes in Stuttgart, Maranello and even Detroit, were both taken by what Nissan had managed to achieve with a serial-production supercar. Despite the relatively low-price tag, it continues the GT-R legacy of pushing out with performance and punching above its weight.

Even after being in continuous production for 13 years, the 2021 R35 model is still fast and competitive – something that undeniably speaks to its success and credibility as a bona fide GT-R.

On top of featuring low mileage, this example is also a coveted second-generation ‘DBA’ model. In turn, it features a vast array of mechanical and electronic improvements that resolved myriad issues found with earlier first-generation ‘CBA’ examples.

With just 14,000km on its odometer, it presents in excellent condition, with two keys, and the provenance to support.
