Few automotive marques elicit more emotion, passion, and desire than Ferrari. For over 70 years the Maranello based company has developed some of the worlds most capable and lust-worthy vehicles. To own one is a privilege, to own one of the last Prancing Horse penned by Pininfarina is an honour.
Launched in 2013, the F12berlinetta marked the end of Ferraris 60-year association with Pininfarina and what a swan-song it was. With less than 4,500 units believed to be produced, F12berlinettas are widely regarded as the most complete modern Ferrari, an instant classic and one of Pininfarinas best. The 812 Superfast successor was produced in numbers well in excess of double the F12 making it a far rearer gem.
Described as cutting edge, understated and sophisticated, the F12berlinettas interior blends the best of F1 and aviation. From its fighter jet-inspired afterburner air vents to the F1 derived steering column-mounted paddle shifters, paired with the highest quality materials and Italian craftsmanship.
BLACK OVER BLACK
Finished in the highly desirable colour-way of Nero DS 1250 Solid, the result is a vehicle of beautifully balanced proportions, aggressive sculptural lines which channel airflow and a stance that oozes character and provokes desire. Forever protected with a full body PPF layer by the industry leading Xpel film.
MOTORSPORT AND AVIATION INFLUENCE
Design and engineering teams worked in concert to draw on learnings from the pinnacle of motorsport and aviation to deliver an ergonomic cockpit, with all-new multifunction onboard interface, black Poltrona Frau Italian leather, carbon fibre and aluminium alloy air vents and Alcantara lined oddment storage.
AWARDED POWERTRAIN FROM LAUNCH
On debut, Ferraris all-new F140 FC series V12 made headlines as the most powerful engine to ever emerge from the Prancing Horse stable. It later went on to win a total of six International Engine of the Year Awards, making it one of Ferraris most acclaimed powerplants.
The 65-degree, naturally aspirated, 6.3L V12 develops 740hp (545kW) at 8,250rpm while delivering 80 percent of its 690Nm of torque before 2,500rpm. The soundtrack, all the way to its 8,700rpm redline is amplified by the six-into-one, equal-length exhaust, once described by a journalist as a demonic symphony on the move.
The F12berlinetta took the invisible art of aerodynamics and put it on show for all to see. The F12 featured several breakthrough design firsts including the addition of an F1 derived Aero Bridge, which uses the cars bonnet to create downforce. Making the F12berlinetta the most aerodynamically efficient Ferrari at the time.
