Here at CHROME TEMPLE we recognise that motorcycles are suffering the same fate as ICE motor vehicles under the pressure of EU emissions legislation and noise pollution constriction.

Back in 2004, Ducati promised the world the first true MotoGP replica road going bike. With only 1500 units produced (circa one per day from early 2006) at an eye watering USD$72,500 and AUD $115,000, this was the worlds first true road going iteration of a purebred race bike.

With 989cc displacement across a 90 degree V4, this monster hit a 303kmh top speed with 147kw and 197 horsepower. The sheer sound, heat and presence of the bike has never been repeated. This is not for the fainthearted rider.

Of the 1500 made worldwide, many met their end at the track, making the numbers even scarcer. The more desirable bikes are said to be those from 1100 onwards, due to some gremlins and production fine tuning in late 2008. This particular bike benefits from this ‘late in run’ being build # 1299 (an iconic Ducati name plate now).

This Australian delivered example remains BRAND NEW with just 1km showing on odometer. Swing tags and screen protective plastics remain on dash and rear taillight.The battery has never been fitted (still in box from factory) and importantly, the fuel tank has never had fuel in it which can be catastrophic for filters, pumps and lines over time.

Having just benefited from a preservation service from Ducati ASBK and factory trained Craig McMartin, the bike needs for naught to be treasured as an art piece or fired up and enjoyed.

Bike comes complete with factory rear stand, race exhaust, race ECU, full set of factory booklets and 2 keys.
