To boost performance and dynamic abilities, the engineering team embarked on a significant lightweighting campaign which included using aluminium for panels, installing lightweight crossmembers, casting parts from exotic metals and even using carpet with hollow fibres – oh and offering removable roof.

All of this lightweighting, including the removable roof of this 1996 Aero Top example, provided the perfect base for its current owner to continue refining the engineering work where the Japanese team left off. This highly modified vehicle now develops a reported 1,100 rear-wheel-horsepower, with a fully rebuilt drivetrain to deliver mind-bending performance.

The enormous power output has been achieved via the fitment of a Garett G42 turbo, carbon intake, GTR ignition, Haltech ECU and a Getrag 6-speed gearbox with twin-plate carbon clutch and the fitment of an upgraded brake package to manage the monstrous horsepower. To the exterior, enthusiasts will notice the fitment of a new front lip spoiler, Weld RT-S racing wheels and Micky Thomson Street RT radials. Inside the vehicle is in excellent condition and features Confetti Recaro seats.
