Reviving the iconic Carrera name for the first time in seven years, the MY1984 Carrera 3.2 also marked the end of the original 911 series design. As the last of the first 911s, it is widely regarded by Porsche purists and enthusiasts as the last true analogue driver’s car from the Stuttgart marque and a true classic.

Presented in iconic Guards Red paint, this Australian delivered survivor has been lovingly tended to over its life. Featuring factory original interior, sunroof, Fuchs wheels, and genuine 930 wide-body rear guards (believed to have been fitted post delivery), this cosmetically and mechanically pristine survivor is calling for its new home.

Exterior

PENNED BY FERDINAND ALEXANDER PORSCHE

Penned by none other than Ferdinand Alexander Porsche himself, the original 911 design of 1964 thrust the designer and the company into the automotive spotlight. Testament to the strength of the now-iconic design, the original 911 model ran largely unchanged for 25 years culminating in this 911 3.2 – the last hurrah of Ferdinand’s design.

ICONIC INTERIOR WITH FULL LEATHER

The iconic exterior design is complemented by an interior design that regularly tops the list of the most memorable 911 interiors. Featuring a full leather cockpit, the 911 screamed business with its broad dashboard punctuated by five circular instrument clusters and a Porsche emblazoned steering wheel. Topping off this style icon is a tastefully upgraded, period-correct-look digital audio system to allow for modern audio functionality.

MECHANICAL

MORE POWER AND MORE TORQUE

Born of proven lineage, the 911 Carrera 3.2 took the air-cooled formula and added more displacement. The drivetrain, which Porsche claimed to be 80 percent new at the time added 200cc to the 3.0L engine of its predecessor. The new engine delivered over 20 percent more power with circa 160kW and 265Nm of torque, while delivering a raspy exhaust note from the boxer six-cylinder.
